Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative is an outbound, phone-heavy, performance-based role designed to drive proactive revenue generation across new leads, inactive and churning accounts, and ongoing business development. This role operates as a critical complement to our 130+ Souvenir & Gift Industry, commission-based sales representatives, covering territory and account activity that falls outside their day-to-day reach.

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, this individual will work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. Account ownership in this role is intentionally fluid — the goal is consistent coverage, proactive outreach, and revenue growth, not territorial management. This person understands that the pipeline is always moving and that every conversation is an opportunity.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in the SoDo area of Seattle, Monday through Friday, standard business hours. Lantern Press provides full benefits and free parking.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a high volume of outbound calls daily to prospective leads, lapsed accounts, and identified business development targets
  • Qualify and convert leads across vertical market campaigns and specialty retail channels
  • Reactivate inactive or churning accounts through strategic outreach, relationship rebuilding, and targeted product presentations
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned verticals and channel segments

Account Business Development

  • Develop ongoing relationships with accounts where ownership is shared or transitional, ensuring no account goes unworked
  • Execute follow-up on artwork projects and custom product programs, driving projects from initiation through close
  • Coordinate the sending of samples tied to vertical market and retail channel specialty campaigns
  • Present Lantern Press products, programs, and custom art capabilities to new and existing partners
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing assigned accounts and communicate them proactively

Campaign & Channel Execution

  • Execute outbound sales activity tied to specific vertical market campaigns (e.g., Tourist dense & iconic locations, outdoor, travel, souvenir retail)
  • Support and follow through on specialty channel programs by managing outreach, sample delivery, and post-campaign follow-up
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all outreach, pipeline activity, and account notes in Salesforce

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the National Sales Manager to align outbound priorities with company sales strategy
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to facilitate custom artwork discovery and project timelines
  • Coordinate with internal teams on fulfillment, order status, and customer-specific program needs
  • Represent the Lantern Press brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and product expertise in every interaction

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • 3+ years of outbound sales, inside sales, or business development experience, ideally in a wholesale, consumer products, gift, or specialty retail environment, and consultative sales is a plus!

  • Strong written communication skills for follow-up emails, campaign outreach, and internal coordination
  • Ability to manage multiple active opportunities, follow-up threads, and campaign timelines simultaneously
  • Comfort operating in an environment where account ownership is shared and priorities shift — you adapt quickly and stay organized

Preferred:
