Description

This role offers hands‑on exposure to large machines, autonomy technology, and real‑world testing environments. You’ll play a key part in validating next‑generation mining applications and autonomous haul truck systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning – Develop and update test plans for autonomous haul trucks and drills.
  • On‑Machine Testing – Execute field validation in rugged, mining‑like conditions.
  • Data Analysis – Interpret test results to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshooting – Resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in complex systems.
  • Documentation – Create detailed reports and recommendations based on testing outcomes.
  • Collaboration – Partner with onsite operators and remote software developers.
  • Customer Interaction – Engage with end users to gather feedback and enhance product functionality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle/system test or validation.
  • Strong skills in Linux/Ubuntu, electrical schematics, and autonomous systems (perception, planning, positioning).
  • Proven ability in problem solving, teamwork, and time management.
  • Comfortable working in hot, dusty, mining‑like environments and climbing onto large machines.
