Production Testing Manager

Production Testing Manager | R1m–R1.2m | Johannesburg

I’m working with Digital Matter, a global IoT hardware and software company specialising in GPS asset tracking and sensor monitoring devices used across logistics, construction, agriculture, mining, fleet, and environmental monitoring.

They are looking for a Production Testing Manager to lead and scale their production testing capability in Johannesburg.

This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role sitting close to hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing. You’ll be responsible for improving production test strategy, test reliability, product quality, traceability, and manufacturing throughput across a growing portfolio of IoT hardware products.

The ideal candidate would have a background in:

• Production testing, manufacturing test, electronics testing, or hardware test engineering

• Embedded systems, PCB testing, microcontrollers, electronics, and schematics

• C and/or C# programming

• Test fixtures, test jigs, end-of-line testing, and production test processes

• Supporting manufacturing partners or production teams to resolve technical issues

• Improving test reliability, production throughput, quality control, and traceability

• Leading, mentoring, or managing a small technical testing/production team

• Working closely with hardware, firmware, software, and production stakeholders

This would suit someone who is still technically hands-on but also confident leading people, setting standards, improving processes, and owning production testing delivery across a fast-moving engineering and manufacturing environment.

Salary: R1m–R1.2m
