IT Lead for Digital Core

Job Description

As IT Lead for Digital Core, you will co-lead a strategically important technology area at the heart of Danske Bank’s core banking platform together with the Tribe Lead. You will help set technical direction, drive execution, and support modernisation while safeguarding stability, resilience, and compliance.

About Digital Core

Digital Core supports the modernisation of customer and account capabilities while underpinning essential financial services in the Nordics.

The team includes around 180 colleagues across Denmark, Lithuania, and India. You will work closely with the Tribe Lead, architects, chapter leads, product leaders, and business stakeholders to drive progress through collaboration, clarity, and strong execution.

Location can both be in Aarhus or Copenhagen.

Key Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for Digital Core with the Tribe Architect, Tribe Lead, and senior stakeholders.
• Co-lead the tribe to align business priorities, technology strategy, and delivery.
• Lead and support technical leaders to improve engineering quality and team development.
• Drive modernisation through simplification, scalable architecture, and strong engineering practices.
• Provide transparency on progress, risks, dependencies, and technical health.

• Experience leading in a complex technology environment, ideally in banking or another regulated setting.

• Ability to turn strategic ambition into priorities, roadmaps, and delivery outcomes.
