Wigan
Teknobu Group - Civic Building, Wigan
2–3 days per week - Flexible part-time role
Minimum wage - Entry-level opportunity
We’re looking for someone at the beginning of their journey.
Not someone with years of experience or a polished CV. We’re looking for someone who is curious, hands-on, reliable, and excited about what can now be built using tools like Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor, Replit, Lovable, Bolt and other AI-assisted development platforms.
This role is based from our dedicated office space in the Civic Building, Wigan. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team and will work closely with the directors, support staff, and the wider Teknobu team from day one.
It is a minimum wage role, and we want to be upfront about that. But the real value is the support, guidance, experience, exposure, and working environment you’ll get.
For the right person, this could be the chance to turn a hobby, interest, or something you’ve been learning on your own into the start of a real career in tech.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be hands-on from day one, helping us build, test, improve, and support digital solutions for real businesses.
This could include:
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. The main thing we need is the right attitude.
Who this would suit
This role would suit someone who has started exploring coding, AI tools, automation, app building, websites, or low-code/no-code platforms and wants to take the next step.
You might be self-taught, studying, building small projects at home, or simply someone who has discovered these tools and realised you enjoy creating things.
We’re looking for someone who:
What you’ll get from us
You’ll get hands-on experience in a real working environment, with real projects, real clients, and real business problems.
You’ll also be based in a great office setting at the Civic Building in Wigan, with our own dedicated office space, a gym on site, an amazing cafe, and a rooftop terrace.
You’ll get:
This is not just about filling a seat. We want to find someone we can support, develop, and hopefully help move up the chain as the business grows.
The opportunity
At Teknobu Group, we know that good people do not always come with years of experience. Sometimes they just need a chance, the right environment, and people around them who are willing to guide them.
This role is for someone who wants to learn, contribute, ask questions, make mistakes, improve, and build something for their future.
It could be the first proper step from “I enjoy this” to “I can build a career doing this”.
How to apply
Send us a short introduction about yourself and any projects you've done.
Tell us what you’ve been learning, what tools you’ve tried, what interests you, and why this opportunity feels right for you.
You do not need to send a perfect CV. We’d rather understand who you are, what you’re interested in, and where you want to get to.
