How you’ll make an impact in this role

Responsibilities

This position resides under The Resource Group, an end-to-end supply chain partner to healthcare organizations across the United States, wholly-owned by Ascension. At The Resource Group, we build strong relationships with provider teams, working alongside them to improve supply chain operations and lower non-payroll expenses, all in support of delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities for this role can be found below:

  • Organize, coordinate, and streamline activities related to managing freight management logistics providers fostering effective relationships and ensuring seamless interactions.
  • Support the internally managed freight program to ensure efficient national logistics flow.
  • Track, disseminate, and maintain new and revised policies and procedures related to freight management logistics providers, while serving as the primary point of contact for internal inquiries, developing solutions, and providing problem resolutions or escalations related to freight management.
  • Oversee the creation, management, and maintenance of all freight management logistics shipping accounts, including managing the invoice allocation process to ensure timely completion of monthly/weekly payment cycles for delivery services.
  • Develop and distribute monthly dashboards and reports on freight management logistics performance metrics, supporting stakeholders with reporting, measuring of data/statistics, and project management needs.
  • Monitor freight management logistics performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations to leadership to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Education

What minimum requirements you’ll need

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience. OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
