For an international innovation center in Leuven, we are currently looking for a Global Specialist Science & Regulatory Affairs.
Your Challenge
You will become part of the Global No Alcohol Beverage Development Team, playing a key role in the development of innovative non-alcoholic beverages for international markets.
In this position, you will combine scientific expertise with in-depth knowledge of international food legislation. You will advise multidisciplinary teams to ensure that new products are not only innovative but also fully compliant with global regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and regulatory guidance for global innovation and commercialization projects.
- Support the development and worldwide launch of new non-alcoholic beverages.
- Interpret and translate international food legislation into practical actions and recommendations.
- Monitor changes in regulations, scientific developments and market trends through horizon scanning.
- Identify regulatory risks and opportunities, translating them into clear scenarios and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to develop compliant and commercially viable solutions.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, guidelines and policy documents related to relevant food legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute actively to the global Science & Regulatory Affairs network by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Science & Regulatory Affairs, R&D or a similar environment.
- Solid knowledge of international food legislation and its practical application.
- Experience interpreting scientific data and technical reports is an asset.
- Knowledge of nutrition legislation, novel foods, GRAS frameworks and/or health claims is considered a strong advantage.
- Analytical, proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both national and international stakeholders.
- Excellent professional proficiency in English. Dutch is considered an asset.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 20% of the time.
