Part-Time Remote CFP® | Financial Planning Analyst (Behind-the-Scenes)
1099 Contractor | ~20 hrs/week | $35/hr | Remote (U.S.)
About InVestra
InVestra is a boutique, woman-owned wealth management firm serving high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and women navigating complex financial lives.
We are not a transactional advisory shop.
We are a comprehensive, planning-first, tech-enabled wealth management firm where financial plans drive every decision—not products, not sales targets, and not surface-level analysis. Our work is deep, data-driven, and highly collaborative across advisory, operations, and planning teams.
Role Overview
We are seeking a CFP®-Certified Financial Planning Analyst (1099, part-time, remote) to serve as a core behind-the-scenes planning resource for our advisory team.
This is not a client-facing role.
There are:
- No client meetings
- No prospecting or sales expectations
- No relationship management responsibilities
Instead, this role is focused entirely on building, structuring, and maintaining high-complexity financial plans from the ground up.
You will operate as the analytical engine behind our advisors—translating raw client data into fully built, highly detailed financial planning models using eMoney or WealthVision.
We are a very tech-heavy, systems-driven practice, and this role requires someone who is both highly technical and exceptionally precise.
What You Will Do
You will be responsible for building and maintaining advanced financial plans at a high level of depth and accuracy, including:
- Full financial plan construction from initial data intake through completion
- Supporting document collection, upload, categorization, and organization within planning systems
- Building base client fact patterns (cash flow, assets, liabilities, insurance, tax assumptions, goals, etc.)
- Running detailed scenario analyses, stress tests, and multi-variable “what-if” planning models
- Developing retirement, distribution, accumulation, and legacy projections
- Producing clear, advisor-ready outputs (charts, graphs, plan summaries, and supporting worksheets)
- Maintaining and updating planning models as client data and strategies evolve
- Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all planning inputs
- Collaborating closely with advisors and operations to support seamless planning workflows
Required Qualifications
- CFP® certification (required)
- 3+ years of hands-on, technical experience in eMoney or WealthVision (non-negotiable)
- Proven experience building financial plans end-to-end (not just reviewing or supporting)
- Strong analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Ability to manage multiple complex planning cases simultaneously
- Experience in a comprehensive, planning-driven advisory firm strongly preferred
Preferred Experience
- Deep understanding of cash flow modeling, retirement income strategies, tax-aware planning, insurance analysis, and estate planning concepts
- Experience preparing advisor-facing planning deliverables and client-ready visuals
- Familiarity with high-net-worth planning complexity and multi-entity financial situations
- Comfort working within highly structured, tech-forward workflows and CRM-integrated systems
- Strong written communication skills for documenting planning assumptions and rationale
Schedule & Compensation
- ~$35/hour
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Fully remote (U.S.-based)
- 1099 contractor engagement
- Flexible schedule with consistent deliverable expectations
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a traditional paraplanning or administrative support role.
At InVestra, financial planning is not a deliverable—it is the product.
You will be part of a high-performance planning team inside a modern, tech-enabled wealth management firm, where:
- Planning depth matters more than production volume
- Precision and modeling sophistication are expected, not optional
- Technology (eMoney / WealthVision + integrated systems) drives the workflow
- Advisors rely on your work as the foundation for every client recommendation
This is a role for someone who prefers building the plan, not presenting it—mastering the engine, not sitting in the passenger seat.
