Your mission

We are seeking a dedicated, qualified laboratory technician—including entry-level candidates—to support our team in the field of biotechnological process development and analytics.

The role focuses on performing sample preparation and analysis steps to support our biotechnological manufacturing processes (USP/DSP) for therapeutic products. Key tasks include nucleic acid purification and analysis, protein analysis, and methods such as qPCR and ELISA. Additionally, the position involves contributing to the development and optimization of bioanalytical methods, as well as providing hands-on support for USP and DSP operations in our pilot plant.

The role requires a high degree of independence in planning, conducting, evaluating, and documenting experiments. This is a part-time position (up to 32 hours/week), initially limited to one year, with the prospect of extension or a permanent contract.

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician, chemical plant operator, biological laboratory technician, BTA, MTA, CTA, or a comparable qualification
  • OR: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Solid practical experience in meticulous and precise laboratory work (proficient and accurate pipetting) and a strong commitment to quality when conducting and documenting experiments
  • Ideally, practical experience with molecular biological and bioanalytical methods such as nucleic acid purification, qPCR, ELISA, or comparable techniques
  • Structured, meticulous, reliable, and independent working style
  • Strong hands-on mentality, ability to work in a team, high degree of flexibility, and willingness to undergo further training and familiarize yourself with new technologies
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills would be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word), ideally also with ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) systems
  • Valid work permit for Germany
