About the Role:

Join our Analytics Engineering team as an AI / Data Engineering Intern, where you will work on cutting-edge data and AI use cases across business domains. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building end-to-end AI-powered data solutions, combining data engineering, and emerging GenAI technologies. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and deploy intelligent solutions such as agents, automation workflows, and data-driven applications, while building a strong foundation in applied AI systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Data Analysis & Preparation: Work on data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation using Python (Pandas, NumPy) to enable analytical and ML use cases.
  • Machine Learning Support: Assist in building and evaluating basic ML models (classification, regression, clustering) and understanding model performance.
  • AI/GenAI Use Cases: Contribute to development of AI-powered applications such as chatbots, copilots, and document Q&A systems.
  • Prompt Engineering: Design and refine prompts to optimize outputs from LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Studio).
  • Applied AI Architecture: Gain exposure to concepts like Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), multi-step reasoning/agent-based systems, and LLM orchestration.
  • API Integration: Work with APIs (e.g., OpenAI/Azure OpenAI) to integrate AI capabilities into applications.
  • Data Engineering Exposure: Support data pipeline and ETL-related activities; work with structured data using SQL.
  • Visualization & Insights: Assist in building dashboards or visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Excel.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and structured documentation of code, approaches, and learnings.

What You Need:

  • Pursuing/Completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (including Pandas, NumPy).
  • Fundamental understanding of machine learning concepts (classification, regression, clustering).
  • Understanding of data preprocessing, analysis, and basic statistical concepts.
  • Awareness of LLMs and GenAI concepts, including prompt engineering and common limitations (hallucination, bias, evaluation challenges).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and data handling.
  • Familiarity with APIs and software development fundamentals (Git, clean coding practices).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • High curiosity and learning agility in a fast-evolving AI landscape.

What is Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on projects (GitHub/Kaggle/portfolio) demonstrating AI/ML or data work.
  • Exposure to GenAI use cases such as chatbots, automation, or copilots.
  • Understanding of applied AI architectures (RAG, agent-based frameworks).
  • Exposure to visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, Excel dashboards).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
