Imagine a world with no waste.
Every year, we as humans consume nearly twice as many raw materials as our planet can sustainably make. In the long run, this will have severe consequences for all of us. At NG Nordic, we are committed to creating solutions where what you use doesn’t end up as waste, but is rather repurposed and given new life.
NG Nordic is a leading Nordic provider of circular solutions and environmental services. By transforming waste into valuable resources and removing hazardous substances from circulation, we are avoiding emissions, protecting natural ecosystems and scaling access to circular materials.
NG Nordic is a vital part of the Nordic industrial infrastructure, generating EUR 1,3 billion in revenue with a team of about 3,400 employees and 90 sites.
Meet our technology team
Behind the scenes of our innovative products, you’ll find a passionate tech community delivering everything from technology used by inspectors and engineers in the field to machinery for our recycling solutions, and digital tools that support our head office teams in their day-to-day work.
We have expanded into a larger network with offices in Helsinki (Finland) and Lysaker (Oslo, Norway), and operations in Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and the UK. This position will be based in Lysaker, with flexibility for working from home.
Are you our new CISO?
NG Nordic is looking for a senior CISO who can take responsibility for information security across a large and operationally complex organization. This is a key role reporting directly to the Head of IT, with close collaboration across technology, HSSQ, compliance, legal, operations and external partners.
This is not a role for someone who only wants to work with security at policy or board level. We need someone who combines strategic understanding with strong operational and technical judgement. NG Nordic operates across many sites, including large industrial locations and smaller sorting facilities, and security must work in practice - not only on paper.
You will work with both IT and OT security, and you must be able to guide, challenge and follow up external partners such as Intility. You will also work with regulatory requirements and frameworks such as NIS2, and help ensure that security practices are aligned with the needs of a growing Nordic organization.
Your key responsibilities:
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced security professional with technical depth, sound judgement and the ability to work independently. You should have experience from larger organizations or complex environments, and understand how security measures work in practice across both corporate IT and operational settings.
This role requires a pragmatic approach to security. You need to understand risk, regulations and best practice, while making sensible decisions in a business with many sites, operational dependencies and external partners.
You should be able to build trust across IT, legal, compliance and operations. Effective security at NG Nordic depends on clear communication, practical implementation and the ability to follow up until improvements are in place.
To succeed and thrive in this role, you should have:
What we offer:
Did you ever imagine that your security expertise could contribute to the global circular economy? That is exactly the opportunity this role provides. Here, you will take on a key role at corporate level in a growing company, where security is closely connected to our operations, our technology and our ability to deliver on our ambitions. You will be given significant trust and independence, with short lines to decision-makers and the opportunity to shape security maturity across the organization.
You will work in a business with real operational complexity: industrial sites, digital platforms, external partners, regulatory demands and international collaboration. For the right person, this is a chance to make a visible and lasting impact.
