Job Description – CA Article Trainee
As an ICAP Approved Training Employer under the Training Organization Outside Practice (TOoP) scheme, MayaTax offers CA students the opportunity to complete their articles while working with international clients and gaining practical exposure to global accounting practices.
About the Role
Article trainees at MayaTax work as part of professional teams supporting international client engagements. During the training period, trainees gain practical exposure to international accounting frameworks and financial reporting processes used by global businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements for international clients.
- Support accounting work under US GAAP and IFRS frameworks.
- Work on engagements across industries such as real estate, hospitality, and US taxation.
- Assist senior team members with financial reporting, bookkeeping, and compliance assignments.
- Participate in internal training programs designed to support professional development.
Eligibility
- Must have completed the CAF module of Chartered Accountancy.
- Must be eligible to commence articles under ICAP TOoP guidelines (e.g., CAF‑qualified CA students).
Required Skills & Attributes
- Must be fully comfortable working onsite in a night shift.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for engaging with international stakeholders.
- High energy levels and a sharp eye for detail to thrive in a fast‑paced BPO environment.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.
