The IFoA regulates and represents over 34,000 members worldwide, overseeing their actuarial education at all stages of qualification and development throughout their careers. We set examinations, continuing professional development, professional codes and disciplinary standards for our members.
We are currently recruiting a Digital Marketing Channels Lead for a Permanent contract.
This role is hybrid, both working from home and in our London hub. The role holder must be able to attend the London office for regular meetings as required.

The starting salary is £57,760

Purpose of the role
The Digital Marketing Channels Lead is responsible for leading on the management and continual improvement of the IFoA’s digital marketing channels including: the main public actuaries.org.uk website and CMS; mass-email, SMS and other direct, “one-to-many” channels; Social Media; and relevant MSDynamics/CRM “one-to-one/few” channels; as well as supporting the organisation’s broader digital transformation across key customer journeys.
The Digital Marketing Channels Lead works closely with colleagues in the Member Value, Brand and Marketing Communications Group, and the broader Membership Directorate, and regularly with the wider business, to ensure that the IFoA’s digital channels are meeting customer needs, and supporting the operational delivery – and strategic intent – of all marketing, communications, and brand campaigns.
The Digital Marketing Channels Lead is responsible for evolving the member experience across our digital platforms, from awareness and acquisition, through to activation, progression and retention. This involves working both with in-house expertise, and key partners and suppliers to continually maintain and develop the public website and social footprint, whilst increasing integration with, and ensuring accessibility to the IFoA’s other digital touchpoints and CRM, such as: the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE); The Member Portal; Dynamics and transactional journeys; The Actuary Magazine and CMI Websites.

The role has three direct reports: Social Media Executive, Digital Content Executive and Digital Communications Executive.
The IFoA membership rests at approximately 34,000 members, whose views will need to be taken into account to ensure this roleholder fulfils the purpose of the job. There are no budgetary management responsibilities associated with this role, although the management of budget tracking and the engagement of resources will be needed to ensure successful delivery of key role accountabilities.

The role will have significant impact on the development of the IFoA digital marketing output and therefore on its visibility in the external sphere. The job holder is expected to provide specialist digital marketing advice, expertise and support to other areas of the organisation who own and operate their own tactical marketing plans. The job holder will also run special projects for digital marketing issues, frequently mobilising colleagues from other organisational areas.
