Our Story - Çimsa
Research & Development Specialist at Çimsa Mersin Plant, you will be responsible for:
- Define and drive the R&D strategy and project portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities, sustainability goals, and market trends
- Identify emerging technologies, scientific advancements, and disruptive opportunities to strengthen Çimsa’s competitive position
- Provide functional leadership, mentorship, and guidance to R&D team members and cross-functional project teams
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of R&D projects, from idea to industrial implementation
- Act as a key interface between R&D, operations, marketing, and senior leadership to maximize value creation
- Oversee national and international research programs (e.g., TÜBİTAK, EU projects), ensuring strategic alignment and successful delivery
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with universities, research institutions, and external stakeholders
- Lead patent, utility model, and licensing strategies, ensuring protection of intellectual assets
- Participating in national and international congresses, symposiums, and technical events, innovation networks and contributing to scientific publications when required,
- Ensuring compliance with corporate procedures, documentation standards, and budgeting requirements throughout all project phases.
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (MS or PhD in a relevant field preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in R&D within the cement & building materials sector,
- Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken),
- Strong expertise in cement, concrete technologies, and raw materials
- Solid understanding of patent processes and intellectual property management
- Hands-on experience with national and international research funding and project management
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into industrial and commercial value
- Experience in scientific writing, including research papers and technical reports,
- Strong planning, prioritization, and execution capabilities
- Advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving, and research capabilities,
- Strong leadership and influencing skills across diverse stakeholders
- Proactive, innovation-driven, and results-oriented mindset
- Awareness of Occupational Health & Safety practices
