Description

Volunteer Concept Artist – In-World Advertising & Visual Development

Bit Scuffed Studios is looking for a Volunteer Concept Artist to help build the visual identity of the world inside our independent animated comedy series, Bit Scuffed.

This role is focused less on characters and more on creating the kinds of details that make a city feel believable, lived in, and unique.

About the Project

Bit Scuffed is a stylized animated comedy series set in Chicago, following two roommates who take a different job every episode while trying to make rent.

As environments continue to expand, we're looking for someone to help define the visual language of the city through fictional brands, advertisements, and environmental storytelling.

Role

You’ll help design the kinds of visuals people would see living in this world, including:

  • Billboards
  • Store branding
  • Bus stop advertisements
  • Posters
  • Street signage
  • Company logos
  • Window displays
  • Product packaging concepts
  • Building graphics
  • Environmental advertisements
  • Fictional businesses and world details

The goal is to create visuals that make the city feel like it exists beyond the main characters.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong graphic design or concept art fundamentals
  • Interest in environmental storytelling
  • Ability to create stylized designs that fit existing environments
  • Comfortable collaborating and iterating with a team
  • Experience with illustration, graphic design, typography, or concept art is a plus
