Role Description

This is a contract role for a skilled Coded Welder, based on-site at the AMANN Group’s facility in Ashton-Under-Lyne. The Coded Welder will perform complex welding tasks, including reading and interpreting technical drawings, conducting precision welding on diverse materials, and adhering to industry safety and quality standards. The role also involves inspecting welds for quality, maintaining welding equipment, collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations and delivering high-quality output.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and instructions
  • Experience inspecting and testing welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication and related tools, such as grinders and cutting equipment
  • Understanding of health and safety protocols related to welding and manufacturing environments
  • Physical dexterity and the capability to work in challenging conditions
  • Relevant welding certifications or qualifications are highly desirable
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
