The Opportunity

IMDEX is a leading global Mining-Tech company, and our Data Solutions team (DataRock) is shaping the future of digital geology and drilling optimisation.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is comfortable working across the entire technology stack and enjoys solving complex, real-world problems. You’ll contribute to the design, development and delivery of modern, cloud-based applications that support critical operations globally.

Working within a collaborative, agile environment, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable and secure solutions aligned with IMDEX’s broader technology architecture and roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a hands-on role in building and evolving software solutions end-to-end, ensuring they are robust, scalable and aligned to business needs. You’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle—from design and development through to deployment, testing and continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities include -

• Develop, enhance, and support full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliable and high-quality delivery
• Build new features and enhance existing functionality based on customer and business requirements
• Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions and roadmap planning
• Write clean, high-quality, and well-tested code (unit & integration testing)
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects and other Engineers
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation and demos
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous system improvement
• Ensure software is production-ready, secure, and aligned with best practices

You bring a strong sense of ownership, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. You can solve technical problems, can be trusted with ownership of work, and are comfortable challenging ideas constructively.

Core Skills

• Strong experience with:
• TypeScript and/or JavaScript
• Node.js
• React
• Experience with cloud-native application development, leveraging serverless technologies and microservices architectures. (AWS preferred)
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices and Agile delivery
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Highly Regarded

• Hands-on experience with AWS, including serverless architecture, AWS RDS and DynamoDB, and containerized applications based on ECS
• Advanced React capability (state management, responsive design, strong CSS)
• API development experience (OpenAPI, contract-first design, API security)
• DevOps / CI-CD exposure and tools
• Application or cloud security experience
• AWS certification
• Understanding of AI-assisted development and where it adds value
