This internship represents an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within one of Australia’s growing mortgage lending and investment businesses.
About the Internship
This six-month paid internship provides practical exposure across:
- Lending operations
- Credit analysis
- Finance administration
- Treasury support
- Risk management
Working closely with our Head of Portfolio Management, you will gain valuable industry experience in a fast-paced financial services environment while developing practical skills across loan processing and operational finance functions.
This is a full-time internship opportunity (Monday to Friday), offered on a fixed-term basis and
designed to provide students with meaningful real-world experience.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Process loan applications end-to-end, including document verification, data entry into origination systems, and tracking loan status through to settlement
- Assist with credit analysis tasks, including reviewing borrower financials, assessing serviceability, and summarising credit risk findings
- Check documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending policy and regulatory requirements
- Update financial models, spreadsheets, and dashboards with current data, forecasts, and portfolio metrics
- Support treasury operations by monitoring cash positions, updating liquidity reports, and assisting with interest rate or funding summaries
- Assist in planning and communicating structured sales or facility draws to warehouse counterparties and internal stakeholders
- Learn and utilise financial software platforms across lending, treasury, and credit functions
- Support risk management teams with data collection and preparation of compliance and portfolio reports
What Are We Looking For?
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
- Strong communication skills and professional presentation
- Interest in finance, lending, accounting, or financial services
- Microsoft Office skills—particularly Excel—are highly regarded
- Current university student studying finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline (preferred)
