We are supporting a large-scale enterprise endpoint remediation initiative involving approximately 20,000 Windows endpoints and are looking for experienced professionals to join the team.

Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Target Start Date: Early July
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders only
Key Responsibilities
Lead Oracle Java JRE/JDK discovery and removal initiatives
Support OpenJDK migration and application compatibility validation
Identify Java-dependent applications across enterprise environments
Coordinate SCCM deployment waves and endpoint remediation activities
Develop and execute PowerShell-based automation scripts
Troubleshoot Java runtime and compatibility issues
Work closely with application owners and vendors during migration
Provide executive-level reporting, compliance tracking, and stakeholder update
Support security hardening efforts to prevent unauthorized Java reinstallation
Required Experience
Oracle Java JRE/JDK removal and migration
OpenJDK distributions Java version management and compatibility troubleshooting Understanding of JRE vs. JDK requirements
JAVA_HOME, PATH, and environment variable configuration
Advanced PowerShell scripting Batch scripting, WMI/CIM queries, and Registry analysis/modification
Automated software removal scripting SCCM packaging and enterprise deployment
Large-scale Windows endpoint remediation
Executive reporting and stakeholder coordination
Preferred Experience
BeyondTrust or similar
Privileged Access Management solutions
Healthcare or large enterprise environments
Software licensing or vulnerability remediation initiatives
Help desk documentation, FAQs, and migration communications
Additional Information
Full-time, dedicated contract role (40 hours/week)
One to two interview rounds expected
Fully remote engagement
Team will collaborate closely with Endpoint Engineering, SCCM, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Help Desk, and business stakeholders
Client-provided equipment and reporting structure will be confirmed during the process
