Description

Head of Information Security – Individual Contributor

Recruiting on behalf of our client

We are recruiting a Head of Information Security for a role that will allow you to make a visible impact from day one. You will join an organisation with an international footprint and a mission‑driven purpose, where your work directly strengthens resilience, preparedness and the organisation’s ability to fulfil its broader societal contribution.

You will shape how security is structured, understood and practiced across the organisation. You will be the specialist who builds the security foundation, develops essential frameworks and drives key initiatives blending strategic development with hands‑on execution.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a clear, pragmatic information and cybersecurity strategy
  • Designing and implementing a risk management framework that enables structured decision‑making
  • Establishing security governance principles, standards and processes
  • Translating external requirements (e.g., ISO27001, NIS2) into practical actions
  • Strengthening security culture across the organisation
  • Driving business impact analyses and mapping critical systems and data
  • Ensuring the organisation is prepared for incidents and crises, including training of leadership
  • Providing clear, credible and actionable input to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborating broadly across the organisation and with external partners

You will operate as an individual contributor but in collaboration with colleagues in other functions - owning the agenda, ensuring structure and coherence, and turning complex challenges into practical, value‑adding solutions.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience within information security
  • Insight into risk management, governance and compliance
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIS2)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity
  • A structured and proactive approach to building frameworks and processes
  • The ability to navigate and collaborate across functions

Your background may vary but what matters is your ability to convert experience into sound decisions, robust structures and meaningful progress.

What Makes This an Interesting Opportunity

You will help safeguard an organisation with a purpose enabling it to operate securely, responsibly and sustainably.

You will work across borders and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders from multiple countries and professional domains in an organisation where your work in developing the organisation’s security strategy, governance structures and crisis preparedness will have a tangible impact.

The position offers the opportunity to set direction within your domain. You will be part of a supportive environment that values clarity, integrity and collaboration and where your expertise will be recognised and trusted.

Residency Requirement

A prerequisite for this position is that you already reside in Denmark.

Applicants who do not have permanent residency in Denmark will not be considered.
