Role Description This is a full-time hybrid UI/UX App Designer role based in Dubai, with flexibility for part-time work from home. The UI/UX App Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, visually engaging mobile app interfaces that support safe and meaningful social interactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating product requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups; creating interactive prototypes; and collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholder teams. The role involves conducting user research, gathering feedback, and iterating on designs to improve usability, accessibility, and overall experience. The designer will work with front-end engineers to ensure design feasibility and consistency, maintain design systems, and contribute to a cohesive visual identity across the app.

Qualifications

  • Strong user experience design skills, including User Experience Design (UED), user flows, and information architecture.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Solid visual design capabilities, including layout, typography, color, and design systems for mobile applications.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development concepts to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Experience designing for mobile apps (iOS and/or Android), preferably in social or community-focused products.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to inform design decisions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills in a cross-functional, hybrid work environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work; prior work with safe-space, community, or mental well-being products is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
