About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize production and assembly operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This leadership role is critical in driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily production and assembly operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Manage and develop a team including supervisors and material handlers, optimizing workforce utilization
  • Develop and execute production planning and scheduling aligned with demand and capacity
  • Monitor and improve KPIs such as safety, takt time, throughput, OTIF, and labor efficiency
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, and production supply
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Sales
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) for production execution and data accuracy
  • Maintain master data integrity (BOMs, routings, work centers) and eliminate transactional errors
  • Provide clear reporting and maintain transparency with leadership
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and safety regulations
  • Support plant growth initiatives and continuous operational improvement efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong understanding of production processes, materials, quality control, and cost structures
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to drive performance, accountability, and team development
  • Proficiency with standard business systems and software
