About the role
Reporting to the General Manager Finance, Risk & Compliance, the Executive Manager – Finance is a pivotal role in ensuring the successful functioning of the Finance, Risk & Compliance Division. In addition, this role has oversight and accountability of the entire Finance function (accounting, budgeting, reporting, treasury, and tax) to meet regulatory and company deadlines as they apply.
How you'll make an impact
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions and related financial analysis/reporting within Internal and External requirements.
- Provide reliable financial data to the directors and senior leadership team to enable strategic and effective decisions making.
- Provide commercial advice to the SLT and Board on appropriate resource allocation funding and accounting methodology to support business strategies.
- Lead delivery of company budgets and financial analysis to support strategic direction and meet reporting timelines.
- Manage cashflow forecasting and banking relationships to ensure effective liquidity and funding.
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations and manage external advisor relationships.
- Strengthen internal controls and governance to ensure accurate reporting and minimise financial risk.
- Coordinate audits, manage auditor relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive team development, performance management, and talent succession planning.
What you'll bring to Honda
- Degree in Accounting or related discipline and CA/CPA qualified.
- Significant experience in corporate accounting/ chartered accounting practice environment.
- Strong experience managing, leading, and coaching a team of Finance professionals.
- Strong business and commercial acumen including core issue identification, analytical skill, problem solving and financial literacy.
- Demonstrated experience in financial cash flow and reporting, budget development and coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in presenting and reporting to the Board.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning.
- Proven track record of strong stakeholder management and cross-functional co-operation between departments.
