IHS is looking for a temporary part-time Library Assistant to support the integration of the IHS library database into the university library database system, WMS. In this role, you will help review, verify and update library records so they can be accurately included in the university system.
This is a temporary position for approximately three months, starting around mid-July until mid-October 2026, for two days per week. The role is based at Erasmus University Rotterdam’s Woudestein campus.
Job Description
The IHS library database is currently being integrated with the wider university library database. Most records have already been migrated successfully. The remaining set of records still needs to be reviewed, corrected, and prepared for integration.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working carefully with structured information and who can help bring this project to a successful completion. Your work will contribute directly to the quality and accessibility of IHS library information for students, academic staff, and other users.

This role requires accuracy, patience and a careful way of working.
In return, you will gain hands-on experience with library data, database integration and information management, while contributing to a project that improves the accessibility and quality of IHS library information.
You are accurate, organised and comfortable working with structured information. You work carefully and independently while keeping an eye on deadlines and data quality.
You have:
Experience with administrative work, data entry, library work, database maintenance, library catalogues, library databases or information management systems is an advantage.
Familiarity with academic libraries or educational environments, or an interest in information management, library studies, urban studies, social sciences or a related field, is also considered an asset.
