Company Description The Tutoring Center, Carrollton provides focused, one-to-one instruction to help students strengthen their skills in Reading, Math, Writing, and SAT prep. The center is dedicated to improving academic performance and building confidence through individualized learning plans. Instruction is tailored to each student’s needs, with an emphasis on foundational skills and long-term success in school. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Tutor role located in Carrollton, TX. The Tutor will provide one-to-one instruction in reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and English grammar to students of various grade levels, from Kindergarten to SAT/ACT prep. Daily responsibilities include assessing student needs, following established lesson plans, tailoring activities to individual learning styles, and tracking progress. The tutor will maintain a structured, encouraging learning environment, communicate regularly with center staff about student performance, and support center policies and academic standards. Occasional assistance with study skills and test preparation may be required, depending on student needs.

Qualifications

• Strong English skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning levels.
• Solid knowledge of English Grammar and written communication, including reading comprehension and writing structure.
• Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills for working effectively with students, families, and center staff.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an instructional or mentoring role is preferred.
• High school diploma required; some college coursework or a degree in Education, English, or a related field is preferred.
• Availability for consistent after-school and/or weekend hours, as scheduled by the center.
