  • Lead CARM-related processes, including client onboarding, delegation of authority, Commercial Accounting Declarations and account controls.
  • Work with operations, freight forwarding, sales, finance, technology providers, clients and external advisors.

  • Ability to satisfy applicable CBSA identification, suitability, background-screening, appointment and regulatory requirements.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in Canadian customs brokerage, customs operations or trade compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of CARM, Commercial Accounting Declarations, customs release and accounting, classification, valuation, origin and post-entry processes.
  • Strong regulatory judgment, attention to detail and ability to manage urgent issues without compromising compliance.
  • Freight forwarding or international logistics experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Customs Specialist or Certified Trade Compliance Specialist designation.
  • Experience establishing a customs brokerage operation or supporting a customs broker license application.
  • Experience with customs brokerage software, EDI or CARM-related system implementation.

The selected candidate must complete any required identification, certified criminal-record check, fingerprinting and verification processes. The employee may not represent Linear as a licensed customs broker, hold Linear out as authorized to transact customs brokerage business, or transact customs brokerage business on Linear’s behalf unless and until Linear has received the required license and authorization.
