Architectural Designer — 7th Street Burger

7th Street Burger is one of the fastest-growing burger brands in the Northeast, with 30+ locations across New York, Boston, New Jersey, and the DMV. We're building the next great neighborhood burger brand through simplicity, quality, and authentic neighborhood roots.
The Role
As an Architectural Designer, you'll work closely with the Director of Architecture & Design to help bring new restaurant locations from concept to completion. You'll support design development, consultant coordination, drawing production, materials selection, and construction administration across multiple projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys design, problem-solving, and project coordination in a fast-paced growth environment. You'll gain exposure to every stage of restaurant development while helping maintain and evolve the design standards of a rapidly expanding brand.
What You'll Do
- Support the planning, design, and execution of new restaurant developments from site evaluation through opening.
- Develop layouts, design packages, finish schedules, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and contractors throughout the design process.
- Review drawing sets for completeness, brand standards, and cross-discipline coordination.
- Assist with permitting and consultant coordination efforts.
- Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, and field observations.
- Research and source materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting, and signage.
- Maintain project files, documentation, and prototype design standards.
- Conduct site visits to document existing conditions, construction progress, and completed projects.
- Collaborate with Construction, Operations, Facilities, Marketing, and Real Estate teams to support successful project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in architecture, interior design, restaurant/retail design, or project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read, produce, and coordinate construction drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; Rhino, Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes.
- Experience with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations, is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience preferred.
- Comfortable working both in the office and on active construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Salary Range: $70k-$90k
