Senior Category Planner to join its dynamic team.
Role Purpose
The Senior Category Planner is responsible for supporting category performance through commercial planning, sales analysis, inventory management and forecasting activities. Working closely with Category Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and eCommerce teams, the role contributes to the development and execution of category strategies that maximize sales, profitability and stock productivity across channels and markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Planning & Analysis:
- Analyze sales performance, inventory levels and category KPIs, providing actionable recommendations to improve business results.
- Support the development of seasonal, monthly and promotional business plans.
- Monitor category performance against targets and identify opportunities and risks
Category & Inventory Management:
- Support assortment planning, stock allocation and replenishment activities.
- Create and manage purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Monitor inventory health and recommend actions to optimize stock turn and minimize stock risks.
Systems & Operational Support:
- Create and maintain product master data and materials in SAP.
- Manage purchase orders and category-related processes through company systems and platforms.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of product, sales and inventory data
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with Category Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and eCommerce teams to support category objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with local and international suppliers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Category Planning, Merchandise Planning, Commercial Analysis or a related role.
- Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Understanding of retail KPIs, sales analysis and inventory management principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP knowledge will be considered an asset).
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in Retail, Sporting Goods, Fashion or FMCG industries.
- Master's Degree.
