Constellation Search Group is looking for a Process Engineering Manager for a full-time exempt position. The Process Engineering Manager leads a team in developing, validating, and improving manufacturing methods with a focus on molding processes, particularly Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR). This role ensures alignment with ISO 13485 requirements, drives continuous improvement through scientific molding principles, and collaborates cross-functionally with other departments. The role also involves qualifying processes at headquarters and transferring standardized, capable processes to other plants to ensure safe, compliant production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and manage the process engineering staff, promoting SQDC philosophy.
- Develop processes, work instructions, and techniques using scientific molding principles for robust product manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements in process development, validation, and documentation.
- Oversee process qualification at headquarters and manage technology transfer, including training and standard work implementation at other plants.
- Compile and organize engineering and design specifications, and prepare data for cost estimates and quotations.
- Monitor electronic processing outputs for accuracy, and develop production standards meeting quality specifications.
- Provide technical support across functions to ensure compliant processes and timely issue resolution.
- Build and maintain development plans for Process Engineers and support skill development of Process Technicians.
- Analyze and resolve manufacturing and customer processing issues.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and prepare necessary reports.
- Evaluate and source vendors and equipment based on product and process requirements.
- Stay updated on relevant engineering advancements for safety, quality, and performance improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree or relevant experience in process development using scientific principles.
- RJG Master Molder I or II or equivalent scientific molding certification.
- Strong command of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
- Experience in departmental leadership, preferably leading through influence.
- Hands-on experience with IQMS or similar MRP systems coupled with strong document control discipline.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to deliver objectives timely and keep stakeholders informed.
