About the role
You will join Mixvoip’s IT Consulting team.
Our team supports and advises small and medium-sized businesses, usually between 20 and 200 employees. Some of our customers have an internal IT department. Others rely on us as their main IT partner. In both cases, we help them operate, secure, maintain, modernize, and improve their internal IT infrastructure.
This is a hands-on consulting role. You will work on a wide variety of environments: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows servers, Linux systems, networks, firewalls, VPNs, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, endpoints, and customer-specific applications.
You will not spend your time managing only one platform or one internal infrastructure. You will work with different customers, different setups, different maturity levels, and different technical challenges. This means you need strong fundamentals, curiosity, structure, and the ability to troubleshoot methodically.
We also expect you to be comfortable with technical tools: using a terminal, reading logs, writing small scripts, automating repetitive tasks, and understanding how systems behave beyond the graphical interface.
You won’t be “thrown in alone”, but you are expected to take ownership of what you touch, communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, document your work, and improve things over time.

I’ve been with Mixvoip for 8 years, and my role is to help businesses make better use of their IT.
With the IT Consulting team, we support customers who often have very different realities. Some have an internal IT department and need a reliable technical partner. Others rely on us for almost everything related to their infrastructure, users, security, cloud services, networks, and day-to-day IT operations.
That variety is what makes this job interesting. One day, you may be working on Microsoft 365. Another day, you may be helping with virtualization, servers, storage, backups, Wi-Fi, Linux systems, scripts, migrations, or a customer project that does not fit neatly into one category.
I like people who are curious, structured, and honest about what they know and what they still need to learn. In consulting, nobody knows everything. What matters is the ability to understand the problem, ask the right questions, investigate properly, communicate clearly, and take ownership until things move forward.
I care a lot about practical solutions. Our customers are SMEs. They need systems that work, advice they can understand, and partners they can trust. Good consulting is not only about technical knowledge. It is also about listening, explaining, documenting, prioritizing, and staying calm when something goes wrong.
I also believe that modern IT work should make good use of the right tools, including AI. Not to replace thinking, but to speed up research, scripting, documentation, troubleshooting, and daily operations.
