Financial Accountant

About the role

A large, multi-entity finance function is looking for a qualified accountant to join an external reporting team, working across a complex group structure with significant scale and international reach.

This isn't a standard financial accounting role. You'll be working across group consolidation, balance sheet governance, monthly reporting submissions and external reporting requirements, with direct exposure to senior stakeholders across finance, treasury and legal.

The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven. Process improvement and automation are embedded in how the team works.

What the role involves

• Monthly and quarterly reporting to group timescales in line with group accounting policy
• Balance sheet analysis, governance and assurance across accounting operations
• Preparation of financial information for external and internal reporting requirements
• Liaison with auditors and key finance stakeholders including treasury and legal
• Contributing to process improvement and automation of existing workflows

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant — ACA or ACCA
• Strong Excel skills
• Comfortable managing upward and engaging with senior stakeholders
