Email Integration Systems Engineer
Location: Remote with 65% Travel (Domestic and International)
Duration: 12+ month contract with strong possibility of extensions
Our client is seeking an experienced Email Integration Engineer to support the integration of newly acquired offices. This role combines Microsoft 365/Exchange migration expertise with systems administration and infrastructure integration responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 migrations, Active Directory, Windows Server administration, and end-user support. This position requires frequent travel to conduct site assessments, perform migrations, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide user training.
** Candidates must be located within one hour of an international airport and have an active US Passport. **
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments
- Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 migrations
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook
- Experience using PowerShell for administration and data extraction
- Experience with email migration tools such as BitTitan, AvePoint, or similar
- Experience migrating SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams between tenants
- Systems administration and infrastructure support experience
- Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within distributed teams
- Valid U.S. Passport - required
Responsibilities
- Lead Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 migration projects
- Perform site assessments and document existing infrastructure
- Support integration of newly acquired offices into the corporate environment
- Migrate server data and permissions to enterprise cloud platforms
- Manage email domain transitions, DNS updates, and mail flow changes
- Troubleshoot Exchange, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Extract and analyze data from legacy Exchange environments using PowerShell
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Network Operations, and DevOps teams
- Support virtualization, backup, security, and business continuity initiatives
- Deliver end-user training and migration support
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
- Ensure availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems
