Business Development Manager LAM, Vehicle Aftermarket - Automotive Business

Location: Argentina, Mexico or Brazil

We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Business Strategy Manager to lead the development and execution of the business strategy across LATAM for the Automotive Aftermarket division. This role is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, defining where and how the business should expand, and ensuring strong alignment between market needs, commercial strategy, and execution.

The position operates close to the business, customers, distributors, and commercial channels, acting as a key partner to drive growth. It integrates Business Strategy and Business Intelligence, translating data into actionable insights that support decision-making and shape the future direction of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy & Growth Definition: Define and drive the LATAM business strategy, identifying growth opportunities and setting clear priorities aligned with regional and global objectives.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and size new business opportunities across channels, regions, customer segments, and fleet profiles, mapping market potential and whitespace areas.
  • Customer & Market Understanding: Maintain a close connection with customers, distributors, and strategic partners to understand their needs and translate them into actionable business initiatives.
  • Strategic Gap Analysis: Identify gaps across portfolio, customers, and geography, and define concrete action plans to close those gaps and capture growth opportunities.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Lead go-to-market coordination and ensure alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Supply teams, driving effective and consistent execution across LATM.
  • Product & Value Proposition Input: Provide structured input for product development, including market needs, competitive landscape, positioning, and value proposition, ensuring alignment with business stratey.
  • Business Intelligence Leadership: Lead the Business Intelligence function as an integrated part of the strategy team, ensuring data availability, quality, and consistency. Translate data into insights, recommendations, and business opportunities.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Promote a data-driven culture, ensuring that analytics are used to support strategic decisions, performance tracking, and opportunity identification.
  • Strategic Projects & Governance: Lead key regional strategic initiatives and transformation programs, acting as PMO, ensuring alignment, follow-up, and execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, product, finance, supply chain, and global teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and channel dynamics to continuously refine strategy and identify new opportunities.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a regional team combining Business Strategy and Business Intelligence capabilities, including roles in business development, data analytics, and data engineering.
  • Develop team capabilities to evolve from data reporting to insight generation and business impact.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and ensure strong alignment with business priorities.

Requirements:

Education: University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.

Experience

  • +8 years of experience in Business Strategy, Business Development, or Commercial roles.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence or data-driven environments. Experience in multinational and regional (LATAM) environments is highly valued.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen. Deep understanding of commercial dynamics and sales channels. Ability to translate customer and market needs into business opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Leadership and team development capabilities. Curiosity and mindset to explore innovative, tech-enabled solutions.
  • Highly Valued: Knowledge or experience in Artificial Intelligence, Process automation and Machine Learning. Ability to leverage new technologies to improve decision-making, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Languages: Fluency in Spanish, English and Portuguese
  • Willingness to Travel: Availability to travel within the LATAM region as needed.
