Role Description The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Quantedge Capital LA will provide overall strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the firm in a full-time, remote capacity. The CEO will define and execute the company’s long-term vision, set measurable goals, and align teams and resources to achieve them. This role includes overseeing investment, finance, and operations functions, coordinating with senior leaders to ensure effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and strong governance. The CEO will lead business development and sales efforts, strengthen client relationships, and represent the firm with investors, partners, regulators, and other external stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing performance metrics, guiding business planning, making key resource and hiring decisions, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture that supports collaboration and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

  • Strong financial and investment acumen, including experience in Finance and related quantitative or risk disciplines.
  • Proven experience in Operations Management, with a track record of building scalable processes and systems.
  • Expertise in Business Planning and Strategic Planning, including setting strategy, defining KPIs, and driving execution.
  • Demonstrated success in Sales, business development, and client relationship management within financial services or a related sector.
  • Extensive senior leadership experience, preferably as CEO, COO, Managing Director, or equivalent in an investment or financial institution.
  • Ability to lead in a remote environment, with strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to investment management and capital markets.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
