Role Overview :
Automation Engineers design, program, simulate, and test systems as per the defined process, following all applicable engineering standards. They play a key role in ensuring successful project execution — from control engineering and PLC programming to customer communication during commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze system layouts and descriptions, including control engineering standards and special components.
- Test PLC programs according to protocol systems on simulation environments.
- Assist with acceptance testing (FAT & SAT) and hand over results to the Project Manager for final acceptance.
- Execute assigned project tasks with 100% quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project I/O lists and accurate project documentation.
- Perform on-site commissioning of systems.
- Participate in customer communication during DAP and commissioning phases to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical coaching and guidance to team members on technical difficulties.
- Explore smarter, cost-effective technologies and solutions to reduce project costs through alternative approaches.
- Continuously engage in learning to build and expand technical knowledge.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Core knowledge in Siemens automation systems: S7-300, S7-1200, and S7-15
- Knowledge in Rockwell automation systems: MicroLogix, Compact Logix, and Control Log
- Ability to program in multiple PLC languages: Ladder Logic, FBD, SCL, and STL
- Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal for PLC and HMI development
- Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams and Control Narratives
- Hands-on experience in Warehouse Automation projects

Educational Qualification
