Your profile

  • You have completed a master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical systems, control and automation systems, or physics
  • Long-term work experience with grid control technologies such as SCADA/EMS/DMS, including IoT and cyber security solutions
  • Deep understanding of the power transmission and distribution market and technologies, mainly in SCADA/EMS/DMS, protection, control and HMI solutions, IT/OT integration, digitalization with IoT solutions and cyber security
  • Experience in defining and evaluating product and portfolio requirements for grid control solutions, including competitive landscape and technology trend analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of network applications (state estimation, load flow, contingency analysis, short-circuit calculation) and familiarity with ENTSO-E Network Codes and/or the Common Information Model (CIM, IEC 61968/61970)
  • Knowledge of relevant communication standards and protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3 and OPC UA
  • Knowledge of Linux environments; programming or scripting knowledge (C++, Java, Python) is a plus
  • Result orientation with strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Team player with strong customer and market orientation, comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • You have fluent English skills and you are experienced in working in intercultural teams; German language proficiency is a plus

Your responsibilities

  • Act as the domain expert for grid control technologies (SCADA/EMS/DMS) within the Grid Automation Portfolio Development team
  • Define functional and technical requirements for new products and portfolio elements in the grid control domain, in close cooperation with product management and lead customers
  • Analyze market, regulatory and technology trends (e.g., DER integration, grid digitalization, virtualization, cyber security) and translate them into portfolio roadmaps and business cases
  • Evaluate make/buy/partner options, benchmark competitor offerings and support technology scouting and vendor assessments
  • Support the go-to-market preparation of new portfolio elements, including value argumentation, demonstrators, reference configurations and sales enablement material
  • Act as the technical counterpart for pilot customers and support the proposal phase of strategic opportunities with domain expertise
  • Define and review data models, interfaces and integration concepts towards substation automation, protection and enterprise IT systems
  • Actively participate in research and development activities together with other specialists to shape the state-of-the-art grid control solutions of the future grid
  • Create and maintain standardized portfolio, requirement and concept documents
  • Take responsibility for quality, time and cost of own work results
