We’re looking for a Post Production Supervisor to play a pivotal role in the backbone of our content creation process. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on managing the technical aspects of post-production, guiding a team of talented post-production staff, and optimizing workflows to ensure the highest quality of output. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Coordinate closely with editorial leadership to manage post-production schedules, resource allocation, and project deliverables across current series, development, sales and impact
- Mentor and support the post-production team in adopting efficient workflows and media management practices
- Ensure all content, whether for social media or OTT/broadcast, meets our stringent delivery standards and timelines
- Cultivate relationships with vendors and oversee the integration and management of subscriptions and stock materials
- Lead the charge in adopting new post-production technologies and software, enhancing our capabilities and keeping us at the industry’s cutting edge
- Develop and maintain our media archival systems, ensuring a seamless storage and retrieval process
- Champion teamwork and experimentation, actively seeking opportunities to advance NowThis’ content and brand presence
SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE:
- A smoothly running post-production operation that consistently delivers high-quality content on time
- Demonstrated leadership in a post-production environment, with the ability to inspire, guide, and elevate a team of editors and post-production professionals
- Strong technical expertise in color grading, sound design, and motion graphics to ensure a high-quality viewer experience across all NowThis content
- Proficiency in cloud-based post-production workflows, enabling seamless collaboration across remote teams
- Familiarity with content management systems and metadata tagging to ensure efficient archiving and retrieval of digital assets
- Solid understanding of the legal aspects of post-production, including copyright laws, licensing, and clearance procedures for third-party content
- Capacity to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for post-production processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across projects
- A proactive approach to technology, with a track record of identifying and integrating new tools and processes that enhance productivity and creativity
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex post-production concepts to non-technical team members and stakeholders
- Commitment to staying informed about emerging trends and technologies in post-production, continuously driving innovation and improvement within the team
MUST HAVES:
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder
- Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., ProTools, Audacity)
- Expertise with Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems
- Proven track record of managing complex post-production schedules and personnel
- Deep understanding of digital production workflows, tools, and technologies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of successful executive engagement and the ability to articulate vision, strategy, and complex ideas clearly and persuasively
- A proven track record in people management, with a strong emphasis on advocating for team members, nurturing and developing talent, and implementing effective succession planning to ensure organizational growth
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $120,000. An employee's position within this range will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
