Description
Main functions and responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of automotive production equipment, in compliance with safety, quality, and cost objectives.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on wiring harness production machines and automated equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation failures, with a strong focus on wiring and crimping processes.
- Carry out mechanical adjustments related to cable cutting, stripping, terminal crimping, and connector assembly.
- Troubleshoot and support PLC-based systems, particularly Siemens PLCs.
- Maintain and optimize KOMAX wiring machines, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.
- Intervene on workstations and End-of-Line (EOL) systems, including cameras, sensors, vision systems, and fiber optics.
- Analyze breakdowns using root cause analysis methods (5 Why, Ishikawa) and implement corrective actions.
- Record and track maintenance activities in SAP PM (work orders, spare parts, preventive plans).
- Support production start-ups, changeovers, and ramp-ups, ensuring process stability.
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements).
- Apply and promote 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and industrial engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE rules and procedures in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Your Profile
- Knowledge of cabling and connector processes
- Experience with mechanical adjustments (wiring, cutting, stripping, crimping)
- Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems
- Experience with PLCs, ideally Siemens
- Strong knowledge of KOMAX machines
- Familiar with workstations and EOL equipment (cameras, sensors, fibers, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of SAP PM (preventive & corrective maintenance)
