The base salary will be $62,480 - $89,040 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

The Government Relations Office maintains strategic relationships with public officials at all levels of government and seeks to proactively align public policy objectives and the University’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
The Government Relations Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support to the Executive Director, Government Relations and Government Relations Office to ensure that their time and efforts are focused on priorities that require their direct oversight. The role will review and evaluate requests, inquiries and issues directed to the Executive Director, and will either respond, refer to another resource, or escalate to the Executive Director as appropriate. The Government Relations Coordinator will independently determine the importance of requested meetings, and manage the Executive Director’s calendar to ensure their time and attention is directed toward priority issues. The role will coordinate event logistics and arrangements for government relations events and high-profile meetings as required, and maintain confidential contact lists and related information. The Government Relations Coordinator will proactively draft materials including briefing notes and correspondence, and liaise with a variety of stakeholders to focus the Executive Director’s time on final reviews, approvals and the establishment of action plans.
