Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will manage the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing and communication initiatives focused on the football category. We are seeking a creative and commercially driven professional with strong knowledge of football culture, sports retail trends, and consumer behavior to support business growth, brand visibility, and customer engagement within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of 360° marketing and communication strategies focused on the football category, including football apparel, footwear, accessories, equipment, club merchandise, and seasonal collections.
- Marketing Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor annual football category marketing plans aligned with commercial objectives, product launches, retail campaigns, and sales targets.
- Retail Campaign Management: Execute campaigns to drive football category sales, increase customer traffic, improve market penetration, and strengthen brand positioning across retail and e-commerce channels.
- Product & Brand Promotions: Coordinate football-related promotional activities, product launches, in-store branding, seasonal campaigns, and key football event activations (major tournaments, club launches, derby campaigns, etc.).
- Social Media Management: Create and maintain football-focused content calendars across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to engage football audiences and drive retail performance.
- Content Development: Collaborate with internal creative teams, photographers, athletes, influencers, and external agencies to produce engaging football retail content, including product campaigns, styling shoots, videos, reels, and promotional assets.
- E-commerce Support: Coordinate football category campaigns across online platforms, ensuring accurate product visibility, campaign banners, promotional messaging, and customer engagement.
- Influencer & Athlete Partnerships: Identify and collaborate with football influencers, athletes, creators, and local football communities to increase brand awareness and category engagement.
- Campaign Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, global sports brands, vendors, and retail partners to ensure timely execution of football marketing initiatives.
- Performance Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly reports analyzing football category sales performance, campaign effectiveness, social media analytics, customer engagement, and promotional ROI.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Retail Operations, E-commerce, CRM, Visual Merchandising, Buying, and Store Teams to align football category initiatives with business objectives.
- Trend & Competitor Monitoring: Monitor football retail trends, competitor activities, product launches, pricing strategies, fan culture trends, and digital innovations within the sports retail industry.
- Event & Activation Support: Support football-related retail events, in-store activations, brand appearances, grassroots tournaments, product launches, and customer engagement activities.
- Vendor & Agency Relations: Coordinate with external agencies, media partners, production houses, and suppliers to deliver high-quality football marketing campaigns.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Sports Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, retail marketing, sports retail, or campaign management, preferably within football, sportswear, or fashion retail industries.
Skills
- Strong passion and understanding of football culture, sports retail, and consumer trends.
- Experience in social media management, digital marketing, retail campaigns, and analytics platforms.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, launches, and retail activations simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of football brands, product categories, and retail operations is highly desirable.
- Experience working with influencers, athletes, agencies, and external partners.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to deliver innovative football retail marketing ideas.
- Familiarity with design tools, e-commerce platforms, and content creation processes is considered an advantage.
