Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the SDx R&D department, reporting to the SDx R&D Manager, you will be a Backend Developer contributing to the evolution of our centralized Network Management System (NMS) and SASE/SSE cloud-based platforms.

The NMS application provides monitoring, orchestration and data analytics for our SD-WAN, SASE and security product portfolio. You will work closely with product owners, UX teams, data engineers, and software architects to design and deliver scalable, maintainable backend services.

Core responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services powering NMS, SD‑WAN, and SASE features.
• Implement data processing pipelines, including real‑time and batch data flows for telemetry, Network data analytics, events and alarms.
• Store, retrieve and optimize large‑scale operational data using OLAP databases and distributed storage systems.
• Design and maintain database schemas and queries (ClickHouse, MySQL, or similar).
• Collaborate with Frontend developers and contribute directly to selected Frontend tasks when needed
• Work closely with architects to improve system scalability, high‑availability patterns and service resilience.
• Ensure system reliability and scalability through containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and stability.

Profile and skills

To carry out the role of a Network Data Analytics Developer, the candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Technical Skills

• 5 years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Java
• Demonstrated experience in data computing, including stream processing, parsers, enrichment, or analytics pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Proven experience with OLAP or TimeSeries databases (Clickhouse, InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, or equivalent).
• Experiences in other backend languages: Go, Python…
• Strong experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (IP, routing, VPN, security services) or interest in NMS/SASE solutions.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge on Machine Learning concepts
• Understanding Netflow protocols
• Experience with GWT framework
