Role Description The Student Wing – Mumbai volunteer will support youth-focused initiatives, events, and campaigns in coordination with the Mumbai chapter of Youth United Council of India. This is a volunteer, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with a mix of in-person activities (such as meetings, events, and outreach) and some tasks that can be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities may include coordinating with student groups and colleges, assisting with event planning and logistics, conducting outreach to engage new volunteers, and supporting social media and communication efforts. The role may also involve helping manage documentation, maintaining contact lists, and providing regular updates to team leads. Volunteers will collaborate with other members of the Student Wing to execute projects, share ideas, and promote YUCI’s mission among students.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and community members.
  • Interest in youth leadership, community service, and social impact initiatives, preferably with prior involvement in student clubs, NGOs, or campus activities.
  • Basic organizational and coordination skills, including time management, event support, and handling multiple tasks responsibly.
  • Comfort with using digital tools and social media platforms for communication, outreach, and promotion of events and campaigns.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams, maintain a respectful and inclusive attitude, and follow guidance from coordinators.
  • Based in or near Mumbai, with availability to attend periodic in-person meetings and events, and willingness to commit consistent volunteer time.
  • Openness to learning, taking initiative, and contributing ideas to strengthen student engagement and chapter activities.
