We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and communicative Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of our residential and commercial painting projects. In this role, you will be the bridge between our premium clients and our technical execution team, ensuring that every project—from a single condominium to an entire housing development—is delivered seamlessly, on time, and to the highest standard.
This role requires a unique blend of leadership, precision, and adaptability. You will be responsible for everything from accurate material estimations to on-site quality control and client relationship management. When you aren't actively managing a live project, you will use your exceptional interpersonal skills to assist our sales team, driving business growth and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Project Ownership & Execution
- End-to-End Management: Lead and manage painting service projects and large-scale bulk paint orders from initial inquiry to final hand-off.
- Site Visits & Assessment: Conduct on-site visits when necessary to evaluate client requirements, measure spaces, and accurately scope out large-scale projects.
- Estimating & Financials: Calculate surface areas and material requirements to create and deliver accurate material and service quotations. Finalize payment terms and project schedules.
- Logistics & Prep: Ensure all required paint, tools, and materials are secured and ready on-site prior to the project's start date.
- Quality Assurance & Turnover: Conduct rigorous final quality checks upon project completion to ensure craftsmanship meets company standards, and secure the client's signature on the official Certificate of Completion.
Team Coordination & Reporting
- Manpower Scheduling: Build and coordinate the technical team’s work schedule.
- Progress Tracking: Supply the Technical Service team with daily progress report forms, ensuring they are accurately filled out and submitted by the end of each day.
- Data Management: Maintain absolute accuracy in our overall project tracker, logging all essential data from project kickoff to closeout.
- Client Updates: Keep clients delighted and informed by providing structured daily or weekly progress reports depending on the project's timeline.
Sales Support
- Business Growth: During project downtime or when pending tasks are clear, actively assist the sales team with client outreach, lead follow-ups, and inquiries.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading a team and managing projects from inception to completion. You know how to motivate people and keep a project moving forward.
- Technical Savvy: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for data tracking, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Exceptional Communication: Clear, professional, and empathetic communication skills—both written and verbal—tailored for both internal teams and premium clients.
- Thrives Under Pressure: Ability to stay calm, adapt quickly, and solve problems on the fly in a fast-paced environment with moving deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for quality control, ensuring painting craftsmanship meets high standards before final client handover.
- Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Ability to handle client objections, manage scope changes, and resolve project disputes diplomatically.
- Basic Spatial Estimation: Comfortable calculating surface areas (square footage/meters) to generate accurate material and cost quotations, preventing under- or over-quoting.
- Time Management & Multi-tasking: Highly organized self-starter capable of balancing active on-site project management with administrative tracking and sales support.
- People Person: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of personalities, from on-site technical crews to corporate property owners.
