Your Team

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Cybersecurity team working closely with our technology team, our business and our partners. The Cybersecurity team supports all of Hollard’s diverse security technologies protecting our cloud, traditional on-premise platforms and custom-developed applications. Your Role

As a Security Architect at Hollard, you will be an integral part of the Cybersecurity team and work closely with the Technology Architecture team, project teams and business. Your primary responsibility will be engaging early with projects, working with the solution architects, third parties and business stakeholders, to help them understand their cyber risks and come up with practical and novel ways to mitigate them. You will also be responsible for developing patterns for common solution components like authentication, access control and data handling.

Your duties and responsibilities

  • Triaging and shaping security engagement on projects at concept.
  • Contribute to the development of the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
  • Define and maintain security solutions in alignment to Enterprise Architecture and Roadmaps.
  • Provide guidance to IT product delivery teams and vendor partners in understanding their
  • cybersecurity risks and help them identify innovative and novel solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Fulfill governance practices and processes, operate efficiently with technical integrity and
  • minimum bureaucracy
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance industry cybersecurity regulatory/compliance
  • requirements e.g. APRA CPS234, SOCI, Privacy Act

About You

  • Demonstrated experience as a Security Architect or Security Engineer with a strong foundation in IT with core competencies in networking, data, and applications.
  • Experience in financial services in a regulated environment is preferrable.
  • Experience working within architecture frameworks such as SABSA, Zachman or TOGAF is required.
  • Strong foundation in IT with core competencies in networking, data, and applications.Solid understanding of information security governance, risk management, and compliance principles.
  • Good understanding of key regulatory frameworks (including CPS 234, SOCI, Privacy Act
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills with an ability to justify recommendations and engage stakeholders in risk trade-off discussions.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or related discipline preferred.
  • IT architecture related certifications are highly desirable.
