Mechanical/Civil Project Engineer (SMP)

Purpose of Work:

To provide engineering services on mechanical and civil disciplines to progress, develop and implement additions and modifications to refinery facilities. With hands on experience & knowledge of standards & codes, piping & equipment design , project cost estimation & schedule. Support in technical guidance/ assistance on mechanical/ civil engineering topics to various refinery departments.

Regular Assigned Duties:

• To define project requirements, develop proposals, estimate costs, obtain approvals, engineer design, procure materials, supervise construction and assist commissioning. Activities to be planned and coordinated with other refinery groups, vendors and contractors.
• Suggest and define projects, assist in budget preparation, write applications for funding, prepare other information necessary for management consideration of projects.
• Organize and monitor the work of support staff, refinery personnel, contractors and vendors during all project phases including; engineering, drafting, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning. Write, evaluate and administer purchase requisitions and installation contracts.
• Keep up to date with current techniques, applications and equipment.

Education:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in Design Engineering; Construction Supervision; Project Management.
