Director: Logistics Costing & Operations Effectiveness

Job Function:

This role is key in managing and analysing costs associated with solutions (and other operational expenses) specific to Contract Logistics Dedicated Contracts. Responsible for ensuring accurate and commercially viable costing for warehouse and transport solutions, while supporting service offering design, profitability analysis, customer and revenue insights, and sales operations.

Key performance areas:

• Accountable for the development of commercially viable service offerings aligned to customer requirements, operational capability and business strategy.
• Ensure service solutions are appropriately scoped, structured and aligned to Contract Logistics Dedicated Contracts commercial objectives.
• Support the translation of customer requirements into practical and financially sound warehouse and transport solutions.
• Accountable for the costing, pricing and profitability analysis portfolio in support of new and existing business.
• Ensure accurate, timely and commercially sound costing for warehouse and transport solutions to support customer proposals and commercial decision-making.

Qualifications required:

• B.Eng. Industrial or Bachelor’s in logistics or supply chain, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or Operations Management will be advantageous.

Skills and experience required:

• 8–10 years’ relevant experience in contract logistics, supply chain, commercial support, costing, operations or solution design.
