IT Administration Lead (m/f/x)

You manage our IT team and serve as the key interface to the IT organization of Rocket Lab, our US-based parent company. This role is for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-moving manufacturing environment who can set strategic directions, coach a growing team, and roll up their sleeves when it counts.

What Awaits You At Mynaric

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior and mid-level IT professionals,acting as a coach and role model who gives clear direction and fosters a culture of ownership
• Act as site IT lead across all disciplines, owning overall IT strategy and operations across our two Munich locations, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability
• Serve as the primary IT liaison to our California-based parent company, Rocket Lab, with close collaboration across time zones
• Drive IT infrastructure and security projects end-to-end, from planning through delivery
• Manage IT contracts and budget with a strong eye for cost efficiency, proactively identifying and acting on savings opportunities
• Define and enforce security, risk, and compliance standards aligned with German regulations
• Act as an escalation point for major IT incidents and drive sustainable root-cause resolution
• Translate business goals into a clear IT strategy and team priorities

What You Bring With You

• Strong hands-on understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud, and workplace) with the willingness to engage operationally where needed
• In-depth knowledge of security practices, frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST 800-53)
• Solid background managing hybrid IT landscapes, with Microsoft/Azure-based environments preferred
• Proven track record of leading complex IT projects, including system migrations and platform transitions
• Inspires, coaches, and actively develops IT talent, with a proventrack record of growing and elevating the people around them
• Familiarity with ERP environments,SAP knowledge is a plus
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with strong delegation skills and a drive tooperateefficiently inafast-paced, changing environment
• High level of personal integrity, humility, and genuine role-model leadership behavior
