Level 2 IT Support Technician

Contract • Fully Remote

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing Managed Service Provider based out of Yonkers, New York to place a sharp, self-driven Level 2 IT Support Technician on a contract basis. This is a fully remote engagement with a clear path to expand as the company scales. You will work directly alongside the CEO, giving you rare visibility and influence in a small, fast-moving shop. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 remote IT support across a variety of client environments
  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID / Azure AD)
  • Support Azure cloud environments including virtual machines, resource groups, and access management
  • Configure and troubleshoot VPN solutions, network gateways, and basic routing/switching
  • Handle endpoint hardware issues remotely and coordinate on-site resolutions when needed
  • Manage and respond to support tickets in a timely, client-facing manner — responsiveness is critical
  • Document issues, configurations, and resolutions clearly
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO and internal team on escalations and small projects
  • Support onboarding and offboarding workflows for end users

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a managed services or multi-client environment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration — this is a non-negotiable requirement
  • Working knowledge of Azure (VMs, Entra ID, conditional access, resource management)
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies, network gateways, and basic firewall/routing concepts
  • Experience with hardware support and troubleshooting (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
  • Excellent communication skills; must be client-facing, professional, and highly responsive
  • Proven ability to work independently across multiple client environments simultaneously
  • Self-sufficient and resourceful, able to research and resolve issues without heavy oversight

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MD-102, AZ-104, AZ-900) or equivalent industry certs (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+)
  • Active side projects, home labs, or self-directed learning that reflect a passion for technology
  • Experience working in small business or startup environments with direct executive exposure
  • Familiarity with RMM/PSA platforms (ConnectWise, Autotask, NinjaRMM, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud networking, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity environments
