Role Description We are looking for instructors who teach Zumba, Zumba Gold, Group Weight, Mat Pilates, Yoga, and Aqua, and can teach at any of our our clubs located in Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, St Petersburg, and Seminole. The Group Fitness Instructor leads safe, engaging, and effective group exercise classes for members of varied fitness levels and ages. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering class formats, demonstrating proper exercise techniques, providing modifications, and monitoring participants for safety and form. The role also involves greeting members, answering questions, and offering guidance to support members’ fitness goals. Instructors are expected to maintain a clean and organized studio environment, , and stay current with industry trends and LA Fitness programming standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction, including leading varied class formats and adapting to different fitness levels.
  • Experience in Personal Training and the broader Fitness Industry, with a strong understanding of exercise science and safe training principles.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to create an inclusive, motivating, and respectful environment for all members.
  • Current group fitness or personal training certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM) preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead groups confidently and clearly.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Prior experience teaching group classes in a gym or studio environment is strongly preferred.
