Position: Director of Technology

About the Role
Our Director of Technology is a pivotal role responsible for leading Customer Experience Platform, Technology, Data and Delivery teams and their deployment in designing, building and operating client solutions. This position ensures brilliant solution architecture, seamless system integration, and effortless collaboration with client stakeholders while guiding technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Additionally, the role partners closely with the Managing Director and Business Leads to drive technology, data business opportunities, achieving revenue and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Strategy & Architecture
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise technology solutions aligned to strategic business needs.
- Define scalable, high-performing, secure, and compliant solution architectures.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide clear, actionable adoption recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with key clients and vendors to identify and prioritize requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solution designs.
- Communicate solution options, impacts, and benefits effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Project & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the end-to-end solution delivery lifecycle, from design through deployment.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure solutions meet agreed service levels and client satisfaction metrics.
Integration & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure seamless integration across enterprise platforms and applications.
- Drive system and process optimization to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and champion continuous improvement.
- Build and strengthen partner relationships to support lead qualification and revenue growth.
- Proactively contribute to lead generation, pipeline development, and account-based marketing with client engagement teams.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure solutions align with IT governance frameworks and best practices.
- Maintain compliance with data protection regulations, industry standards, and security protocols.
Team Leadership & Development
- Optimize team structure and processes for efficiency and performance.
- Develop and deploy top talent based on strengths and career aspiration
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture.
- Lead a high-performing team with ongoing coaching, development, and support.
Business Development & Management
- Partner with client engagement and business leads to identify and secure new opportunities aligned with Tech/CX revenue goals.
- Develop tailored proposals, pitch materials, and commercial strategies.
- Build and sustain a strong sales pipeline across client accounts, partners, and new business channels.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT solution design, architecture, or enterprise system leadership.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale technology projects and transformations in complex organizations.
- Experience managing teams of 30+ members, including direct and indirect reports.
- Demonstrated success in marketing agencies, consultancies, or technology product companies, including pitching, responding to RFI/RFPs, and driving sales and growth.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in enterprise platforms (e.g. CXP, CMS, CRM, Loyalty & Commerce use cases).
- Proficiency in solution architecture methodologies and integration frameworks.
- Indepth understanding of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and data governance.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels, including CMOs, COOs, CIOs, and CTOs, tailoring communication to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
KPIs / Success Metrics
- Timely Delivery: Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, meeting agreed-upon quality standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Demonstrate alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture standards and strategic business objectives.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Achieve high stakeholder satisfaction scores through 360° feedback from internal teams and clients.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive measurable reductions in operational inefficiencies through optimized systems and processes.
- Business Growth: Collaborate with the VML business leads to identify, secure, and deliver new business opportunities, contributing to CX/Tech/Data revenue and growth targets.
